Dr. Werner Pieper, was CEO and owner of Mohag Group, Germany’s second largest Ford dealership group, where between 1980 and 1999 he developed the group to 15 locations and established successful the “Car & More” strategy,
During this period, the first consulting company was founded within the Mohag group with a focus on strategic operational retail. This led to the foundation of Dr. Pieper & Partner Consulting in 1997, into which the entire operational structure and know-how was incorporated.
Dr. Pieper’s extensive strategic and operational experience, his broad knowledge in the automotive processes, his profound personal international network are the cornerstones of Dr. Pieper, Grieve & Partner in a constantly changing and increasingly disruptive automotive industry. Its network of senior contacts and automotive-related consulting services provides clients with a unique service in supporting their strategic objectives.
Simone Pieper-Cuber

“Bringing digital transformation to dealerships”
Simone Pieper-Cuber studied Economics and Modern Languages at the University of Passau, and participated in the Erasmus programme at the University of Malaga, Spain.
Simone began her career with Deloitte & Touche in Düsseldorf, specialising in international tax affairs, advising corporate clients, worldwide. She later held a management position with automotive dealership Mohag, focusing on B2B sales and marketing. Recognising the need to provide wider consulting in the automotive sector, Simone co-founded Dr. Pieper & Partner, with whom she has advised a number of well-known automotive brands.
Simone’s combined experience of international business, automotive expertise, and range of business contacts, offers clients an optimal go-to-market capability.
John Grieve
PARTNER
“Supporting the digital customer journey”
John Grieve is an experienced sales leader with a successful track record in automotive digital retail solutions.
John started his career in London before moving to Munich with BMW subsidiary Softlab, as Marketing Director, and has held leadership positions at several tech start-up companies. Following the sale of start-up Webfair to Urban Science Inc., John held positions as Regional Director Europe focusing on automotive dealer auditing solutions, and later Global Account Director for the Volkswagen Group, managing Urban Science’s business with all VWG brands across its global operations. John was Country Manager of MotorK for the DACH region, providing digital solutions for dealer groups and OEMs.
John holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Northumbria University, UK.
